Marine Corps League
An organization for Active, Reserve, Retired and Veteran U.S. Marines and FMF Navy personnel continue the faithful tradition of looking out for the Marines to their left and right. Providing mentorship, career counseling, Veteran Service Officer VA support, assisting with transitions, and providing opportunities for family. Founded by MajGen John Lejeune in 1923; for over 100 years we continue to stand proud as a veteran’s service organization.
The Marine Corps League is a veterans organization founded to perpetuate the traditions and sprit of the Marines who proudly wear or have worn the Eagle, Globe and Anchor of the Corps. There are over 1,000 detachments across the United States. If your not from the McHenry County, Illinois area you can search for a detachment near you using our “National Detachment Locator”.
Membership Eligibility includes
- Marines with honorable active or reserve service in the U.S. Marine Corps for no less than 90 days active service.
- FMF U.S. Navy personnel who have earned the Marine Corps Device and served no less than 90 days with an active Marine FMF Unit. Including but not limited to Navy Corpsman and Navy Chaplains.

Monthly business meetings are the third Thursday of each month starting at 7:00 PM in Woodstock, IL at Trademark Events 240 N. Throop Street, Woodstock, IL 60098.

If you are interested in becoming a Member, please download and fill out our member profile sheet and application; then, upload those documents with your DD214 and driver’s license or other identification. You may also bring the “member profile” and “application”, your DD214 and proof of identity to any monthly business meeting. Please let us know you intend to visit the meeting so we can have a member greet you and answer any questions you may have.
Membership Renewal
The Membership Year is from September 1st through August 31st the following year. To renew your membership or sign up for a Life Membership, click here for Membership Renewal. For reinstatements, please include a member profile sheet and application.
