PURPOSE:
The Detachment Scholarship is open to qualified applicants, who are pursuing full-time undergraduate or graduate degree programs, or technical training at a recognized institution.
ELIGIBILITY:
The scholarship is open to Marine Corps League McHenry County Detachment 1009 and MCL Auxiliary Unit 419 members in good standing, their spouses, children, and grandchildren.
Scholarships may be awarded for a maximum of two years. The scholarships do not have to be consecutive years. The annual award to not to exceed $500.
APPLICATION DEADLINES:
Scholarship applications are open all year until the annual amount of funds is used up. The annual allotment of scholarship funds is set by the Marine Corps League Board.
Scholarship application must be submitted no later than 60 days prior to the start of your program of education. All funds will be deposited into an account at your
educational institution.
QUALIFICATIONS:
All scholarship applications will be considered. There is no GPA requirements. Consideration will be based on our return on our investment.
