McHenry County Marine Corps League and Marine Recruiting Station Chicago Present the 2023 Marine Corps Ball
Each November, Marines gather around the globe to commemorate the birth of the United States Marine Corps. They gather to celebrate and reflect upon the storied history of the Corps and share in the eternal spirit as worthy successors to the long line of distinguished men and women who have served as “Soldiers of the Sea” since the founding of the Corps in 1775.
Marines share this heritage with family and friends to reflect on those who came before us, those serving today, and the men and women that will become future Marine Corps. Come join the McHenry County Marine Corps League in this unique and memorable occasion. Celebrate the history of those proud few who have earned the title Marine.
The 248th Marine Corps Birthday Ball Schedule of Events
1800 – Cocktail Hour with open bar including beer, wine and soda. Cash bar for mixed drinks.
1900 – Ceremony begins with Posting the Colors and greetings from the McHenry County Marines and Marine Recruiting Station Chicago Staff. Followed by the tradition messages from the Commandant of the Marine Corps and Cake Cutting Ceremony.
1945 – Dinner service with continued open bar including beer, wine and soda. Cash bar for mixed drinks.
2100 – Ball and Social Gala. Music provided by DJ with a photo backdrop available for couple and group photos.
During the Social Gala, the Barrel of Booze Raffle winner will be pulled. Additionally, the Chicago Recruiters have a couple special items to raffle to our guests.
