McHenry County Marine Corps Ball

Each November, Marines gather around the globe to commemorate the birth of the United States Marine Corps. They gather to celebrate and reflect upon the storied history of the Corps and share in the eternal spirit as worthy successors to the long line of distinguished men and women who have served as “Soldiers of the Sea” since the founding of the Corps in 1775.

Marines share this heritage with family and friends to reflect on those who came before us, those serving today, and the men and women that will become future Marine Corps. Come join the McHenry County Marine Corps League in this unique and memorable occasion. Celebrate the history of those proud few who have earned the title Marine.

We are excited to celebrate the 249th Marine Corps Birthday with you on Saturday, November 9th
at the Crystal Lake Holiday Inn and Convention Center.

Tickets are $75.00 per person and includes dinner, two hours open bar,
souvenir, and entertainment.

Schedule of Events

1700 Cocktail Hour

Open bar including Domestic Beer, Wine and Soda.
Cash bar for mixed drinks.

1800 Ceremony

Commandant’s birthday video, Chaplain’s prayer, presentation of the colors,
traditional reading of General Lejeune’s message and cake cutting ceremony.
Comments by the McHenry County Marine Corps League Commandant and
speech by the guest of honor.
Bar will be closed during the ceremony.

1845 Dinner Service

Dinner service will begin.
Open bar for Domestic Beer, Wine and Soda
Cash bar for mixed drinks.

2000 to 2230 Ball and Social Gala

Music provided by Eminent DJ Entertainment with Juan Jose Reves.
Photo Backdrop with lighting in the atrium will be available for personal photos
(bring your camera).
Cash Only Bar Begins.

Dinner Selections

Your choice of four entrees: flat-iron steak with herbed butter, oven roasted
chicken in a champagne cream sauce, roasted salmon filet with dill butter, or
vegetable rotolo with spinach, ricotta and sun-dried tomato.
All dinner selections include dinner rolls, salad, and entree accompanied by
chef’s choice of vegetables. Coffee and hot tea are available.
Dessert will be birthday cake.
